assignment for week 4 (WIP)

Update 2/1

Sample pict to show the ramp glass material

Assignment week 4.

The signature element that I want to explore is the ramp that serves as a product display and the store circulation.

Using glass materials for the ramp, enable customer to see different Apple products bellow as they are walking on the glass ramp.preliminary 1st floor plan.

Could be quite interesting. If the products are laid flat on the ramp, and if the ramp is glass, then the customers can read the back of the box from below. The area of the ramp you are investigating should include the transition area from ramp to floor and product display area.

Glass is a slippery surface. How do you intend to deal with a "slippery" ramp?

I know this is a detail. And quite pragmatic. But at this scale of exploration, those are the questions that become important.

That's why it is fun! so kids can climb ramp and slides. Why? Because this is "Felix and the Apple factory." NOT!

well, to answer your question, I dont think I will have the slope that is too steep, I might combine with steps. The glazing should be slip resistance, I know there is this product is already available.

see my blog for sample pict.

so you are going to detail the glass that lies in your ramps...what does the glass do in the ramps to make it your signature element? does it do what chris says it does...displaying the production of hte products or display below?
